BCRF’s first project in collaboration with The Ocean Cleanup is a city-centric approach to clean up Mumbai’s rivers.

By 2050, there will be more plastics (by weight) than fish in the world’s oceans

An average person ingests the equivalent of a credit card’s worth of plastic every week – coming from contaminated seafood, drinking water, food, and even the air we breathe

99% of all seabird species will have ingested marine plastic by 2050-

144 of the world’s 1000 most polluted river systems are in India and there is an urgent need to clean them so that communities and biodiversity can flourish
