Across a career of 45+ years, he has served on 100+ boards across some of the country’s most pre-eminent organizations.

He is a global thought leader in the area of Environment, Social & Governance, and has helped pioneer Impactful concepts like IR & Innovating path to Net Zero. He has been conferred with the Global Competent Boards Designation (GCB.D) by Competent Boards Inc.. He has been awarded “Vivekananda Sustainability Award – 2022” by Vivekananda Youth Connect Foundation. Presented with honorary PhD “Doctor of Letters” by ITM University.

Mr. Haribhakti actively promotes shared value creation and a green environment through his own enterprise, and his leadership roles as Chairman of the CSR / ESG / Sustainability committees of some of the Boards that he serves on.

He is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and board member. Across a professional career of 6+ years, worked in Mumbai, London, and Bangalore in diverse financial services. He has a keen interest in businesses across agriculture, education, healthcare and climate-tech.

He was recently awarded the Global Competent Board Designation (GCB.D) in ESG from Competent Boards, Canada, and Certified in ESG by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). He is a Chartered Accountant, an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School, London. 

He has been a part of exchange programs and delegations to Columbia, Cornell, NYU Stern, and the European Central Bank. He was also a part of delegation to meet the Vice President of India – Dr. Hamid Ansari and other union ministers in 2013. 

His interests include sailing, geopolitics, photography, numismatics and philately.

Having been associated with boats all his life and having been an active yachtsman Mr. Mongia is a highly decorated yachtsman. Awarded with the Arjuna Award for the sport of yachting by the Government of India, he has represented India at various Asian Games and World Championships where has won several medals.

Aashim is also a founder member of the Asia Pacific Super Yacht Association and also Association of Super Yacht Services, and serves as the on the board of directors of the IMF, the Indian Marine Federation.

Under his leadership, West Coast Marine has completed over 20 Marina projects, has over 160 boats and yachts under its management. It also amongst the promoters of M2M Ferries and Mandwa Port.

Prior to starting West Coast Marine, Aashim was formally trained in superyacht operations, and served as Lieutenant in the Indian Navy between 1987 and 1994.

He is a distinguished professional with over 35 years of diverse experience spanning yacht and marina operations, infrastructure development, retail industry, and human resources. He made significant contributions to the organized retail sector, being part of the setup team for India’s largest hypermarket, “Hypercity Malad Store,” and leading HR at Qualitykiosk Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

At West Coast, Rami is pivotal in new business development, strategic planning, and the management of over 160 boats and yachts. His achievements include overseeing large-scale marina development projects and consulting for the Government of Maharashtra on the same.

His career began in the Indian Navy (1988-2003), has a passion for sailing, achieving national and international accolades, including participation in the “World’s Highest Wind Surfing and Sailing Regatta” at Tso Morari Lake.

Academically, Rami is well-qualified with degrees in Public Administration, HRM, diplomas in Labour Law, Super Yacht Operations, and Industrial Safety.
